Breakfast at the Château & Gourmet restaurant

Breakfast is served every day in the former dining room of the Château and we serve dinner in our table d’hôtes restaurant on Wednesday and Friday from June 1st until October 1st and on holidays. Please contact us if you wish to stay for dinner and scroll down to read more about the menu.
Breakfast in the summer salon
Breakfast is served every morning in the former summer salon of the Château. If the weather allows it, you can pick up your plate and step into the garden for an outdoor breakfast.
Table d’hôtes dinner in our Gourmet restaurant
Dining in the gourmet restaurant of Château de la Resle will always remain a bit of a surprise for the simple fact that we do not have a fixed menu. We are very keen on using only fresh ingredients, as much organic, free range and locally grown as possible. All our dishes are home made and served the same day.
We like using pure and tasty ingredients. What about asparagus and parmesan cheese served as a carpaccio at the start of your dinner? We only use the healthiest of ingredients to make surprisingly tasteful starters. Tartare of trout and bulgur wheat with a lemon and green olive tapenade, topped with artichoke crisps.
As a main dish we will never serve anything remotely close to giblets, frog legs or black pudding. We prefer free range chicken marinated in olive oil, lemon and herbs, a slow cooked leg of lamb, or organic salmon with a salsa of yellow beet, olives and harissa.
Most of the time we skip cheese because at night it’s just too much to digest, but there is always space for a fruit crumble or a chocolate mousse with black berries.
What we will serve next time really depends on the ingredients we can source. We rather buy what we find, than search what we need!
